Lesson Description:

On Monday, we did a case checklist about Angelo and got a diagnosis. Classwork was a relief, we finally closed Angelo’s case and figured out what was wrong with him. We got to catch up during cool down with Redo’s!

  1. I think Angelo has MSUD. I think so because he has an odor that smells like maple syrup. Also, he is not feeding well, has a lack of energy and is having seizures. The DNA tests showed a mutation in the BCKDHA gene, which could cause MSUD. Of course, there are other reasons, but I think these are some of the more important ones.
